An Act to appropriate certain sums of money therein-mentioned for the relief of Insane, Infirm and sick persons, and towards the support of Foundlings and for other purposes. Some of these funds are also to be put towards purchasing supplies, including new sheets and utensils. Additionally, it is made lawful for commissioners to bind out foundlings as apprentices as they deem fit. An Act relating to the Common of Yamaska. An Act to authorise the Chairman and Trustees of the Common of the Seigniory of the Baie Saint Antoine, commonly called the Baie du Febvre, to terminate certain disputes relating to the limits of the said Common, and for other purposes appertaining to the same. An Act to repeal a certain Act therein-mentioned, and in part to repeal a certain other Act therein-mentioned, and to make further provisions for the curing, packing, and inspection of Beef and Pork, intended for Exportation. (9th March, 1824.) | 4 George IV Chapter 22 | 1824 | Under this Act, an Act passed in 1823 “An Act to provide further regulations concerning the Inspection and packing of Beef and Pork, intended for exportation,” and sections of an Act from 1804 “An Act to regulate the curing, packing and inspection of Beef and Pork, to be exported from the Province of Lower-Canada,” are repealed and replaced. This Act implements further restrictions on the packaging or beef and port to be exported or shipped for exportation in addition to those specified in enforced sections of the 1804 Act. The Act specifies the types of salt to be used for packing beef and pork, among other regulations such as how beef and pork are to be graded. An Act to authorise the sale and disposal of certain Goods, unclaimed and remaining in the possession of the Clerks of the Peace, in this Province.
