  • Description
    Under this Act Clerks of the Peace in the Districts of Quebec, Montreal and Trois-Rivières are to keep a Book of records for all Goods or Effects brought to their respective offices as having been stolen or suspected to be stolen so that all unclaimed items may be put up for public auction at each term of the Court of King’s Bench for Criminal Pleas. The processes by which this is to be done are described. This Act is to expire in 1827.
