An Act for preserving the Bank of the River Saint John, in front of the Parish of Lincoln, in the County of Sunbury. Passed the 21st of February, 1801. 41 George III Chapter 9 1801 This act prohibits livestock from grazing on the shore of the Saint John River in Lincoln Couty, so as to prevent damage to the soil, and allows for the creation of a swing gate along the highway to prevent it. An Act for the better securing the Navigation of Passamaquoddy Bay within Deer Island. Passed the 21st of February, 1801. 41 George III Chapter 4 1801 This act follows an 1795 act to build beacons and harbour slips in Passamaquoddy Bay, but resulted in large debts. This current act allows for the province to extract money to pay off these debts from the Charlotte County treasurer, and creates a new system of duties to support the maintainence of the completed beacons or those yet to be built.
