An Act to grant an Aid to His Majesty, for the purpose of making a Navigable Canal, from or near the Town of Saint John to the Basin of Chambly, upon the River Sorel or Richelieu. (22d. March, 1823.) 3 George IV Chapter 41 1823 An Act to allow for the construction and to outline the maintenance of a Canal from Town of Saint John [Saint-Jean] on the River Sorel or Richelieu to the Basin at Chambly in the event that the Company of Proprietors authorised to do so under a 1818 Act, "An Act for making and maintaining a Navigable Canal from, at or near the Town of Saint John, from the River Sorel, or Richelieu, through the Barony of Longueil and the Seigneurie of Chambly, to terminate at the Basin of Chambly" fail to fulfill the terms of that Act. The terms by which the Canal's construction is to be completed, and the funds to be appropriated for that cause are described, as well as how the "Commisions of the Chambly Canal" are to form and their duties. An Act for the better securing of the Navigation of the inner Bay of Passamaquoddy, and to indemnify the Deputy Province Treasurer at Saint Andrews, against any demands for monies collected for tonnage duties since the former Acts for this purpose expired. An Act further to amend and to extend the Provisions of certain Act therein-mentioned, relating to Pilots, and to the Navigation of the River Saint Lawrence, and for other purposes therein specified. (18th February, 1822.) 2 George IV Chapter 7 1822 An Act to further amend a former Act passed in 1805, "An Act for the better regulation of the Pilots and Shipping in the Port of Quebec, and in the Harbours of Quebec and Montreal, and for improving the Navigation of the River Saint Lawrence and for establishing a Fund for decayed Pilots, their Widows and Children" that was amended in 1807, 1811, and 1812. Under this Act, it is made lawful for the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, or person administering the Government of this Province to appoint additional Wardens at the ports of Montreal and Quebec. Several additional regulations for the Trinity House of Quebec and ports are outlined, concerning fees, duties, and rules.

An Act further to relieve Vessels and small Craft from the payment of Light House Tonnage Duty. Passed 14th April, 1821. 2 George IV – Chapter 15 1821 This Act states that the only lighthouse tonnage duty which vessel captains must pay is to be on the actual tonnage of cargo contained within the vessel. Passed 14th April, 1821. 2 George IV – Chapter 1 1821 This Act, to be valid for two years, repeals an 1820 law regulating trade with the United States. An Act to make perpetual an Act to encourage Persons engaged in the Lumber Trade, and authorising Courts of Sessions to make regulations for preventing obstructions in bringing the same, with other articles, down the several Rivers of the Province: and also, the Act in addition to and amendment thereof. 1 & 2 George IV – Chapter 10 1821 This act makes perpetual an act first passed in 1818, which makes it lawful for people involved in the timber trade to remove obstructions from rivers to allow them to move timber to market. It should be noted that the title referred to in the present act is incorrect; the correct title of the 1818 act is, "An Act to encourage Persons concerned in the Lumber Trade, and authorising Courts of Sessions to make regulations for preventing Obstructions in bringing the same, with other Articles, down the several Rivers in this Province."
