An Act for regulating, laying out and repairing Highways and Roads and for appointing Commissioners and Surveyors of Highways within the several Towns or Parishes in this Province, and for suspending for a limited Time, all the Laws now in force relating to the same. An Act to amend an Act intituled “An Act for regulating the Fisheries in the different Rivers, Coves and Creeks of this Province” so far as the same respects the Fisheries in that Part of the County of Northumberland which is within the Bay and River Miramichi and its Branches. An Act to prevent bringing Infectious Distempers into the City of Saint John. Passed the 12th March 1796. 36 George III Chapter 5 1796 To better prevent the spread of disease in Saint John this act creates new restrictions on ships entering harbour with sick people on board, and allows the city to appoint physicians to inspect ships and recommend fines for violators.
