An Act to provide Houses of Correction in the several Districts of this Province. [3d June, 1799.] 39 George III Chapter 6 1799 This act allows for the expansion of several district correction houses due to want of space. It also specifies the number of vagabonds, disorderly persons, and other minor criminals to be held in each district correction house at once, in preference for those who are convicted of more serious charges.
