  • Description
    This act allows for the expansion of several district correction houses due to want of space. It also specifies the number of vagabonds, disorderly persons, and other minor criminals to be held in each district correction house at once, in preference for those who are convicted of more serious charges. Capital crimes are defined, as well as the treatment of prisoners who have been convicted of a capital crime, what crimes shall result in hard labour, and other various matters regarding prisoners in district criminal houses.
