(25th February, 1832.) 2 William IV Chapter 10 1832 This Act continues and amends a former Act from 1829, “An Act to suspend, for a limited time, certain Acts therein-mentioned, and to regulate in a better manner the Inspection of Pot and Pearl Ashes.” The Act allows the Inspectors of Pot and Pearl Ashes in Montreal, Sorel-Tracy, and Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu to appoint Assistant Inspectors. An Act respecting the Time and Place of Sitting of the Court of King’s Bench. Passed 23rd December, 1831. 2 William IV – Chapter 8 1832 This Act, to be valid until the conclusion of the sitting of the legislature in two years' time, states that the Court of King's Bench will sit in the community which is the "[s]eat of the [c]ivil [g]overnment." An Act to make better provision with regard to Appeals from the Provincial Court of the Inferior District of Saint Francis, to establish Circuits therein, and to extend the benefits of Trial by Jury to the said Inferior District. (25th February, 1832.) 2 William IV Chapter 8 1832 Under this Act, appeals to the Provincial Court coming out of the Inferior District of Saint-François are to be heard in the Inferior District, not by the Courts of King's Bench at Montreal or Trois-Rivières as had formerly been practiced. An Act to extend the period limited by an Act passed in the first year of His Majesty’s Reign, chapter the third, for enregistering certain Acts or Deeds, in Law, or Instruments in Writing, therein-mentioned. (25th February, 1832.) 2 William IV Chapter 7 1832 This Act extends the period granted to enregister certain Acts or Deeds, as outlined by the second article of the 1831 Act, “An Act to amend an Act passed in the eleventh year of the Reign of His late Majesty, intituled, ‘An Act to establish Registry Offices in the Counties of Drummond, Sherbrooke, Stanstead, Shefford, and Missiskoui, and to extend the provisions of the said Act.” Under this Act, any Acts or Deeds not enregistered by first of May, 1833 will be considered void. An Act to provide for making Stock held in Companies having a Joint Transferable Stock, liable to the satisfaction of Debts. Passed 28th January, 1832. 2 William IV – Chapter 6 1832 This Act stipulates that stock held by a debtor may be seized and sold in order to satisfy the debt, and that whosoever should purchase such stock will be able to collect any potential income associated therewith.
