An Act to revive and make perpetual an Act granting to Her Majesty a Duty on Licenses to Auctioneers, and on Goods, Wares and Merchandize, sold by Auction. Passed 10th February, 1840. 3 Victoria – Chapter 23 1840 This act renews and makes perpetual an act first passed in 1818, which specifies the need for auctioneers to hold a license in order to practice.
