This act continues an agreement passed in 1804 between Upper and Lower Canada concerning trade and duties on certain items, and the appointment of commissioners to decide upon such matters.
This act permits greater restriction on trade with the United States with the advice of the Legislative Council or its representatives, with the exception of articles which are deemed essential and which are listed in the second clause.
This act authorises a payment of 2,500 pounds collected from the various taxes and fees collected by the provincial legislative assembly towards the Crown's Receiver General, in payment for funds advanced for government expenses, but especially in repayment for contributions made during the War of 1812.
This act continues an act first passed in 1813, which details provisions for the use of army bills and their exchange throughout Upper and Lower Canada. It is continued without modification.
This act sets aside eight hundred pounds to build a library for the use of the Legislative assembly, and appoints commissioners to oversee the execution of the project.
This act authorises the advance of certain sums of money to commissioners throughout the province who are responsible for the building and maintenance of roads, in order to fund their projects.
This act allows for the raising of the salaries of certain officers of the Legislative Council and the House of Assembly - namely, the Clerk of the Legislative Council, the Usher of the Black Rod, the Master in Chancery, the Chaplains of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, the Door Keepers of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, the Clerk of the House of Assembly, and the Sergeant at Arms.
This act continues an act first passed in 1805 which allows the chief administrator of the province to appoint commissioners to determine the rightful heirs to devisees of nominations to Crown lands.
