An Act to repeal in part an Act passed in the ninth year of His late Majesty’s Reign, chapter forty-two, intituled, “An Act relating to the Fisheries in the County of Gaspé.” (31st March, 1831.) 1 William IV Chapter 22 1831 This Act repeals and replaces certain sections of the 1829 Act, “An Act relating to the Fisheries in the County of Gaspé.” This Act makes provisions for the appointment of Inspectors of Fish, including how they are to be appointed and their duties. An Act to appropriate a certain sum of money therein-mentioned to the Improvement of the Navigation from the Cascades to Lake Saint Francis. (31st March, 1831.) 1 William IV Chapter 21 1831 Under this Act, three Commissioners are to be appointed to oversee improvements to the portion of the Saint Lawrence River extending from the Cascades to Lac Saint-François. An Act to repeal an Act passed in the forty-eighth year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the Third, chapter nineteen, respecting the Inland Navigation of the River Saint Lawrence, and to make other provisions concerning the said navigation. (31st March, 1831.) 1 William IV Chapter 20 1831 This Act repeals the 1808 Act, “An Act to provide a permanent Fund for the improvement of the inland navigation of the River Saint Lawrence.” Any funds remaining unexpended that were collected by virtue of this Act are to be used to make the Sainte Anne Rapids navigable by Steam Boats.
