An Act to provide for the improvement and enlargement of the Harbour of Montreal. (26th March, 1830.) 10 & 11 George IV Chapter 28 1830 Under this Act, three Commissioners are to be appointed to oversee an enlargement of the Harbour of Montreal, as directed. (26th March, 1830.) 10 & 11 George IV Chapter 22 1830 This Act repeals certain parts of “An Act for the division of the Province of Lower Canada, for amending the Judicature thereof, and for repealing certain Laws therein mentioned,” as pertains to the Provincial Judge in the district of Trois-Rivières’s appointment and duties. Under this Act, the powers, jurisdiction, authority, duty, rank and pre-eminence of the said Provincial Judge shall be vested in one of the Justices of the Court of King’s Bench for the District of Three Rivers, who is to be called the resident Judge of the District of Three Rivers. An Act to grant John Aymar the privilege of supplying the Town of Saint Andrews with water by pipes. An Act for the establishment of a Temporary Fever Hospital for the reception of persons infected with Contagious Diseases. An Act to amend an Act passed in the thirty-fourth year of the Reign of His late Majesty George the Third, intituled. “An Act for the division of the Province of Lower Canada to amend the Judicature thereof and to repeal certain Laws therein mentioned” inasmuch as the same relates to the Courts of Criminal Jurisdiction. (26th March, 1830.) 10 & 11 George IV Chapter 16 1830 This Act amends an Act passed in 1793, “An Act for the division of the Province of Lower Canada for amending the Judicature thereof and for repealing certain Laws therein mentioned.” Under this Act, any two of the Puisné Justices of the Court of King’s Bench in either of the Districts of Quebec or Montreal are allowed to take cognizance of crimes and criminal offences as if a Chief Justice were present.
