To better prevent the spread of disease in Saint John this act creates new restrictions on ships entering harbour with sick people on board, and allows the city to appoint physicians to inspect ships and recommend fines for violators.
This act strengthens fines against those selling alcohol without the license to do so and allows those selling alcohol illegally to apply for a license.
This act allows for the appointment of commissioners to oversee the erection and maintainence of structures to improve navigation in Saint Andrews and Passamaquoddy Bay.
