This act appropriates one thousand pounds annually from the provincial treasury in order to procure proper coinage, and prevent the circulation of fraudulent or substandard coinage.
This act makes three thousand pounds available to establish an academy in St. John's, to build a building, establish a library, and buy materials necessary. Measures are also put in place to establish a board to run the school.
