Under this Act, three Commissioners are to be appointed in order to document certain borders established by ecclesiastical authorities for several parishes in the Province, which are to be legally confirmed. The processes by which this is to be are established.

This Act repeals and replaces the 1818 Act, “An Act or Ordinance to prevent persons practising Physic and Surgery within the Province of Quebec, or Midwifery in the Towns of Quebec and Montreal, without Licence.” This Act outlines how licenses to practice as a Physician, Surgeon, male Midwife, apothecary or druggist can be obtained and certain regulations pertaining to the practice and teaching of medicine in the province. This Act does not pertain to female midwives. This Act is to remain in force until 1837.
