An Act to authorise the Rector, Church Wardens and Vestry of Saint Andrews’ Church, in the Parish of Saint Andrews, to convey to the King’s Majesty, a certain piece of Glebe Land of the Parish, for the purpose of erecting military fortifications thereon. Passed the 7th of March, 1814. 54 George III Chapter 11 1814 This act allows for the rector of an Anglican church in Saint Andrews' to sell glebe land to the government to construct a fortification for provincial security, and awards the church a new plot of land for a glebe. An Act to continue for a limited time An Act passed in the forty-eighth year of His Majesty’s reign, intituled, “An Act to provide for the maintenance of good order on Sundays and Holydays in the Country Parishes of this Province.” (19th May, 1812.) 52 George III Chapter 6 (S1) 1812 An act to continue an act passed in 1808 that made the Office of Church Warden responsible for maintaining good order in Churches and Chapels in Lower Canada. The original act stipulates the duties of "ancient" Church Wardens and Overseers and how they are to be replaced. An Act to prohibit the sale of Goods, Wares and Merchandise, Wine, Spirits and other Strong Liquors, on Sundays. (25th March, 1805) 45 George III Chapter 10 1805 This Act makes it illegal to sell goods, wares, merchandise, wine, spirits or liquor on the Lord's day (Sunday), on the basis that this constitutes immoral and irreligious practice.
