An Act in amendment of an Act, passed in the fourth year of His present Majesty’s reign, entitled, “An Act to regulate the Jurisdiction of the Inferior Court of Common Pleas within the County of Cape-Breton, and to fix and establish the times and places for holding the said Inferior Court and General Sessions of the Peace in and for the said County." 6 George IV – Chapter 31 1825 An amendment to an act passed in 1823, which allows for the division of Cape Breton into three separate districts which will each have its own inferior court and general sessions of the peace. An Act to authorise the Justices of the Peace for the County of York to levy a further assessment on the said County, towards paying off the debt due for the County Court-House. Passed 17th March 1825. 6 George IV Chapter 6 1825 This act allows York County Justices of the Peace to award at least 500 more pounds to pay off the debt incurred purchasing the couty court house.
