This act better defines how contractors and commissioners in charge of supervising the building of roads and road repairs are to disburse the funds allocated to them for road work, how to keep track of expenses and people paid and charged for various types of work, and how contracts for road work are to be agreed upon.
This act grants the right to the named individuals to form a company with the goal of creating a canal system between Forchu Harbour and Lake George for the purpose of easing transportation between the settlements and to more easily transport lumber.
An Act for the construction of a new common jail in the District of Trois-Rivières occasioned by the insufficient space in existing jails. The Act establishes the processes by which Commissioners, the Treasurer, and Clerk will be appointed and sets a budget for construction costs. Instructions for how the construction will be approached are outlined, including how workers will be contracted. The funds, not exceeding ten thousand pounds, are to be taken out of unappropriated funds collected under the 1805 Act "“An Act for erecting of a Common Gaol in each of the Districts of Quebec and Montreal respectively and the means for defraying the expences thereof."
An Act to provide an additional sum not exceeding six thousand six hundred pounds to finish building a common gaol in the District of Montreal, as the former Act passed in 1805 "An Act to provide for the erecting of a common Goal in each of the Districts of Quebec and Montreal respectively, and the means of defraying the expences thereof," was insufficient to cover the expenses. The Commissioners for the District of Montreal are required to report on the expenditure of these funds. The former 1805 Act is continued except as altered by this Act.

The rates for duties imposed on teas, liquors, wines, spirits, molasses, and syrups, and directions how goods should be auctioned are outlined.
This act allows for propritors in Queen's and Sunbury Counties to apply to build fences across the highways, and creates penalties for any who maliciously damage or destroy them.
