Under this Ordinance, overseers of highways are to enforce the terms of the 1840 Ordinance, “An Ordinance to provide for the improvement during the winter season, of the Queen’s Highways in this Province and for other purposes," as amended. This Ordinance clarifies certain terms of the 1840 Ordinance.
This Ordinance provides a sum not exceeding five thousand pounds towards improving and completing the Temiscouata Portage Road and towards improving or making other roads along the Madawaska River as outlined.
This act authorizes the appointment of commissioners to lay out a street or highway through the town of Chatham in Northumberland County, and to establish and regulate public landings in the said town.
This act places a small duty on ships entering into Shediac harbour for defraying the expenses incurred in erecting, repairing, and replacing buoys and beacons in the said harbour.
