An Act to authorise the Members of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of this Province, to Frank Letters by the General Post, during the Sessions of the Legislature. Passed 4th March, 1837. 7 William IV – Chapter 21 1837 This act allows members of the legislative council and house of assembly to superscribe letters sent by the post so as to avoid paying postage during the sitting of any session. This applies to a maximum of ten letters or parcels per day, and can be sent anywhere within the empire.
