The amendment clarifies a clause which could be interpreted as taking away his family's rights to charge the toll, at great expense to the family, which has spent money to not only build but to maintain the bridge. An Act to enable the Trustees of St. Andrew’s Church, Quebec, to alienate or hypothecate certain property, for the purpose of raising funds to build a more convenient Church, Manse and School.
