An Act to amend an Act of the sixth Year of His late Majesty, to regulate the Trade of the British Possessions Abroad. 22nd April, 1831. 1 William IV – Chapter 24 1832 This Act introduces new provisions for duties on certain items in various parts of the British Empire in the Americas. An Act to amend an Act of the Fourteenth Year of His Majesty King George the Third, for establishing a Fund towards defraying the charges of the Administration of Justice, and support of the Civil Government within the Province of Quebec in America. 22nd September, 1831. 1 & 2 William IV – Chapter 23 1832 This Act enumerates the duties to be charged on a number of items imported into the province, and states that this revenue be applied toward justice and governance. An Act to render valid acts done by the Governor of any of His Majesty's Plantations after the expiration of His Commission by the Demise of His late Majesty, and to extend the period within which the Patents of Governors of Colonies shall on any future Demise of the Crown become vacant, and to provide for the longer duration of the Patents of Governors after the Demise of the Crown. 23d December, 1830. 1 William IV – Chapter 4 (1830) 1831 This Act, passed in December 1830, stipulates that the "patents, commissions, warrants [and] other authorities" in force at the time of King George IV's death in June 1830, as pertaining to posts of employment in British territories abroad, remain in effect until new such patents shall be passed by the new monarch, King William IV. An Act to alter and amend an Act for enabling His Majesty to grant to a Company, to be Incorporated by Charter, to be called “ The Canada Company,” certain Lands in the Province of Upper Canada. 15th July, 1828. 9 George IV – Chapter 51 1829 An amendment to the incorporation of the Canada Company, further defining their permissions as an incorporated company as well as their responsibilities to the crown, to the legislature, and to their employees.
