This Act extends the deadlines of a previous act concerning steam navigation, and providing for the construction of life boats, inspection of ships, and other safety regulations.
This act makes financial provisions for the maintenance of the Cape Race Lighthouse, to be paid from duties collected from vessels navigating provincial waters.
This is an amendment to an act first passed in 1833, which regulated navigation into and out of the port of Saint John's, and set tariffs on each vessel by type.
