An Act to authorize and empower the Magistrates of the County of Charlotte to sell a certain Piece of Land in the Town of Saint Andrews, and to vest the Proceeds in purchasing another Piece of Land for the Purpose of erecting a County Gaol thereon in said Town. Passed 7th May 1832. 2 William IV Chapter 4 Session 2 1832 This act allows Charlotte County officials to sell a piece of property and use the funds to erect a county gaol in Saint Andrews. An Act for preserving, for the purposes of Husbandry, the Grass growing on Beaches, in the District of Quebec. (31st March, 1831.) 1 William IV Chapter 38 1831 Under this Act, persons with land bordering the south side of the Saint Lawrence river below Quebec City are allowed to collect and cure the grass growing in front of their lots along the beaches. Livestock are not to be allowed to roam at large on these lands, and penalties for offending against the terms of this Act are outlined.
