This is an amendment to an 1849 act, which enables better waterway management and the building of a canal on the Rivière du Chêne, which will be managed by appointed commissioners.
This act incorporates the Grand Falls Railway Company for the greater encouragement of the contraction of a railway around the great falls of the Saint John River.
