Year of His Majesty’s Reign, intitled, “An Act to enable the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or Commander in Chief, to borrow the Sum of £4,500 for paying off the Public Debts, and to postpone the Payment of Bounties and Premiums."

DescriptionThis Act empowers the Treasurer of the province to receive warrants for money borrowed under the 1764 Act, "An Act to impower the Province Treasurer to borrow a Sum not exceeding the Sum of Two Thousand Nine Hundred Pounds, for paying off Bounties, Premiums, and other Debts, payable by the Laws of this Province." All receipts issued by the Treasurer are to bear interest at a rate of six pounds per centum per annum.
