An Act to enable the Owners of Stray Cattle more easily to recover the same. Passed the 5th of March, 1807. 47 George III Chapter 8 1807 Much livestock in New brunswick was free ranging and roamed widely at this time. So that their owners could be more easily recover this act stipulates that any who found unfamiliar livestock on their enclosed land much register descriptions of such animals with town or parish clerks.
