An Act to repeal and alter part of an Act, passed in the fifty-sixth year of His Majesty’s reign, entitled, “An Act for Founding, Establishing and Maintaining, an Academy at Pictou, in this Province.” 59 George III – Chapter 15 1819 This act repeals the second clause of an act first passed in 1816, which established the Pictou Academy and set out the manner in which its trustees are to operate as well as how they may be appointed. The second clause required trustees to declare their membership in the Church of England, or otherwise declare they professed the Presbyterian religion. The replacement clause requires trustees to proclaim themselves Christians "according to the Presbyterian principles and forms of the church of Scotland." Early Canadiana Online

An Act in addition to, and amendment of, an Act, passed in the thirty-third year of His Majesty’s Reign, entitled, “An Act to enable the Inhabitants of the Town of Annapolis, and the Officers of His Majesty’s Garrison, stationed for the time being in the said Town of Annapolis, annually to nominate and appoint Supervisors to take charge of the Common appertaining to the said Town, and for other purposes therein mentioned.” 59 George III – Chapter 11 1819 This is an amendment to an act first passed in 1793, which makes provisions for the maintenance of common diked marshland outside of Annapolis.
