An Act to make better provision for granting Licenses to Keepers of Taverns, and Dealers in Spirituous Liquors in Lower Canada, and for the more effectual repression of Intemperance. 30th August, 1851. 14 & 15 Victoria – Chapter 100 1851 This act updates the fees to be paid by innkeepers and tavern owners for licenses based on what types of liquors they sell to their patrons. The conditions for holding a license are stated within the act, as well as the regulations license-holders must adhere to.
