All Act to repeal certain Acts therein mentioned, and better to encourage Agriculture in Lower Canada, by the establishment of Agricultural Societies therein. (29th March, 1845.) 8 Victoria Chapter 53 1845 This act allows for the establishment of agricultural societies in the part of the province formerly known as Lower Canada. These societies will be given a revenue by the provincial government and will raise funds by subscription, which they will spend on establishing awards for excellence in rearing cattle or produce.
