  • Description
    This act allows for the establishment of agricultural societies in the part of the province formerly known as Lower Canada. These societies will be given a revenue by the provincial government and will raise funds by subscription, which they will spend on establishing awards for excellence in rearing cattle or produce. The act specifies how these societies are to be organized and how funds are to be collected and disbursed.
