This act allows the governor in council to establish rules to prevent the spread of contagious diseases among horses, cattle, pigs, and sheep, and specifies the penalties for those who should break those rules.
This is a continuance and amendment to an act passed in 1865 which requires the muzzling of unleashed dogs in order to prevent damage to livestock, and lays out penalties for dog owners who refuse to abide by this law.
