This is an amendment to an act first passed in 1855, which established the board of works to supervise the management publicly-owned buildings and all other publicly-owned property in the province. The amendment expands on the supervisory responsibilities of the board while consolidating rules surrounding their operations.
This Act budgets the funds of the provincial government to the different areas of expense, including public printing, the court system, and provision for the disadvantaged within the province.
This act allows for Carleton County to loan $40,000 to any company to build a branch railway along the Saint Andrews to Quebec line, and stipulates how it will be paid back.
