DescriptionThis act adds further regulations to past acts regarding the militia. Apprentices and indentured servants are specified as individuals who cannot be enlisted as members. Commanding officers are given forty-eight hours to muster once they have received orders to do so, under a penalty of twenty pounds. Penalties for militia members who fail to muster are also specified. Rates of pay are and provisions are to be paid weekly, and the manner of collecting fines specified.
