This act allows justices of the peace for Saint John to assess a portion of the city's inhabitants for compensation of one William Kirkpatrick whose burning house was pulled down by public authorities in order to stop the spread of fire.
This act repeals prior legislation related to the public market in Fredericton and allows justices of the peace in York County to make new regulations for the same, as well as to raise an assessment for the erection of another market house.
