This act gives local Justices of the Peace the authority to commit convicted felons to the jail of Saint John (city and county), if there are none locally.
This act makes the city of Saint John appoitned tax collectors from the last act subject to the same rules and regulations as collectors in other counties.
This act gives power to county Justices of the Peace to grant licences to open taverns and sell liquor, and set penalties for violating the terms of said licences.
Through this act, the legislature gives power to local surveyors to hire men to clear land for roads in the winter months, and to impose penalties upon those who refuse their summons.
This act, passed in the second session of the assembly, allows for the government to impose duties on various imported items to support the government.
