This act amends existing legislation concerning taxation, changing the amount a tax collector can maintain for his services and creates a new provison regarding the duties imposed on liquors being re-shipped out of Saint John harbour.
This act prohbits harvesting herring in the areas of Charlotte County where they spawn, so to conserve their numbers, and creates penalties for those who violate these terms.
Because the steamship line between Fredericton and Saint John allowed by previous legisiation has proved profitable, this act extends the term of its lease.
This act repeals previous legislation covering the exportation of fish, creating new regulations for the preparation and packaging of exported fish, allows for the hiring of local officials to conduct inspections, and penalties for those who violate them.
This act repeals all exisiting legislation regulating lumber exports and creates a new system of size and form regulations for lumber exported out of New Brunswick, and penalties for violating them.
