This act consolidates several past acts regarding the enlargement and improvement of the port of Montreal. The act grants a sum of one hundred and sixteen thousand two hundred and seventy-five pounds, to be controlled by the commissioners who are in charge of the project. The commissioners are required to report all expenses once per year, and provisions concerning the borrowing and repayment of money for the project are specified. Tolls and rates to be charged on ships coming into harbour are also specified. |
