An Act to extend part of an Act, passed in the fiftieth year of His late Majesty’s Reign, in amendment of an Act relating to the repairing and paving the Streets in the Town of Halifax, to the Towns of Annapolis and Digby. 1 & 2 George IV – Chapter 21 1821 This act extends the first clause of an act passed in 1809, originally applied to Halifax, to the towns of Annapolis and Digby. The act in question is an amendment to an 1801 act, and the clause being applied requires residents to keep the streets and gutters in front of their houses clean and free of debris and nuisances.
