An Act to explain and amend the Laws now in force for the organization and regulation of the Militia of this Province. Passed the 27th March, 1823. 4 George IV Chapter 27 1823 This act amends an 1819 act regulating the provincial militia so that no fines can be levied against alleged delinquents unless the said delinquent has been summonded before his commanding officier to show any cause why he should not be punished. Also, it allows for new compensation for sergeant majors wh ohave to perform the duties of commanding officiers.
