DescriptionThis Act establishes a duty on molasses and brown sugar of five pence per gallon and five shillings per hundred and twelve pounds. The processes by which these duties are to be collected, and fines for persons who do not pay it, are outlined. This Act is to remain in force until the end of 1776.
