DescriptionThis Act lists the fees that can be charged for services provided by Clerks, for proceedings in ejectment and by or against attonies, by Provost Marshals, and by attornies, in the courts in the province. A ten pound penalty for persons who charge higher fees than those outlined in this Act or the 1766 Act, "An Act for the Establishment of Fees, as regulated by the Governor and Council, at the Request of the House of Assembly," is implemented.
