    This Act amends and adds to the 1762 Act, "An Act for appointing Firewards, ascertaining their Duty, and for punishing Thefts and Disorders at the Time of Fire," as amended in 1782, 1783, and 1790. This Act provides for the appointment of nine engine men for the town of Halifax above those already provided for by the former Acts.
