    This act allows for the appointment of commissioners to assure the maintenance and care of diked marshlands (former Acadian aboiteaux), and specifies provisions for cases where a part of a dike or marshland requiring maintenance is located on private property. This act replaces all past acts regarding the maintenance of diked marshes.
