    An amendment to an act first passed in 1761, and subsequently amended. The current amendment expands the power to quarantine any foreign vessel arriving in any of the province's ports should be quarantined for as long as should be deemed safest by the governor, lieutenant-governor, or commander-in-chief rather than a pre-determined number of days.
