  • Description
This act amends an act first passed in 1833 which sought to improve the navigation of the Saint Lawrence River. It repeals the thirty-first clause of the 1833 act, and adds two new clauses, one which forbids the commissioners of the project to build bridges over the canals which would impede public navigation, the other clarifying the act to state that the construction of a towing-path will not be impeded.
