DescriptionAn amendment and continuation of an act first passed in 1792, which imposes duties of two pounds ten shillings on every one hundred pounds worth of goods imported into the province. The processes by which this duty is to be enforced are outlined as well as exceptions to it. The current amendment pertains to penalties for shopkeepers who do not possess the correct certificates for imported goods.
