    An amendment to an act first passed in 1808, imposes a further duty of six pence per gallon of wine imported into the province in order to pay an annual pension of five hundred pounds to Sir John Wentworth, former Lieutenant-Governor, for his lifetime. The amendment relates to the manner in which this duty is collected.
