DescriptionThis Act places an additional duty of two shillings and sixpence per barrel on all beer to that already imposed under the 1768 Act, "An Act to amend, render more effectual, and reduce into one Act, the several Laws made by the General-Assembly of this Province, relating to the Duties of Impost on Beer, Rum, and other distilled Spirituous Liquors." This Act is to remain in force until July, 1771.
