DescriptionThis Act amends the 1761 Act, "An Act for repairing and mending Highways, Roads, Bridges and Streets, and for appointing Surveyors of Highways within the several Townships in this Province," relating to the ways that forfeitures should be recovered. Persons sixty years old or upwards exempted from the labour required under the former Act are, under this Act, still required to send their teams or trucks to assist. A fine is also imposed on persons who block roads or streets.
